Precision Cutoff Service originated in 1978 as ROHBI Corporation in Hamden, CT. The company began as the U.S. based sales office for the Swiss manufactured ROHBI high precision circular saws. As an
offshoot of the sales effort, many requests were
made for test cuts of 1,000 pieces or less, and frequent use of the demo model saw
led to the creation of the in-house cutting
department.
Over time and by customer demand, additional machines were put on the line and the cutoff service began to emerge as a business in its own right. The company incorporated in
1981 under the official name Precision Cutoff Service.
Company moved to its current location in Bristol
in 1981.
To help improve our services even more, 2,800 square foot material storage facility opened in the summer of 2000.
PCS remains dedicated to being responsive to our customer's needs by adding new equipment and upgrading our Bristol plant to best provide the fastest turnaround of clean, close-tolerance cut parts, long or short run.
